Multitasking: Hunched on and drafting the foundation plan of a house while watching youtube videos on my phone :)

These past few days have been stressful in school, since midterm exams are almost up. Minors were conquered 2 weeks before and my design plates and presentation was accomplished. Which leaves me to my last architecture exam this week.

Ang saya noh? hahah But despite the workload, I finally found some time to blog. (Huzzah!)

A few weeks before, I challenged myself to take pictures of the highlights of my day. It was nice to take a break from drafting in class and just appreciate the little moments in life.

Here are some snaps of how my days in college usually goes..

P.S. All these were taken with my Zenfone 2 phone

My view in the drafting room

My usual view in the drafting room of Weiman building in Ateneo de Davao University.

My assigned table in class and also my favorite spot, cuz it's near the aircon! Haha

Spent my free time in Hue Cafe, a coffee shop just beside Claveria gate.

Studied for my Philippine History class and witnessing new history unfold.

Here's a pic of my friend, Sofia, getting a snooze in Miguel Pro Commons. If it's one essential thing to be known about architecture students, we usually lack sleep. We're natural koalas after deadlines.

We may be stressed, but we do get nice breaks :)

Studying is life. My study habit usually consists of doodling different symbols alongside my notes. In this case, in my History of Architecture class, I drew little house examples of the different types of Filipino houses.

My drafting table at home is a mess once deadlines are near the corner, and shopping bags are essential for scale model materials. (personal recycling attempt at its best, haha)

My group's scale model of a proposed hospital last preliminary quarter

Enjoying the "Postcards of the Future" forum of Architect Palafox in Finster Auditorium of the school.

Architecture Acquaintance party in Mergrande!

Beach getaway with my classmates. Yes, we draft hard, but we chill harder :)

History of Architecture plates are very important in class. Personally, it helps me hone my drawing skills and helps me remember certain lessons. In the picture above, which is my rough draft of Baclayon church's bell tower, I usually draw with my laptop as a guide. Pen and ink is a personal favorite medium of mine.

Don't mind my face (haha) this is me and my group mates in Theory class taking a break from model making.

Lastly, this is a photo of me (and my sleeping group mates) a few nights before while making a popsicle bridge, wide awake, 4am in the morning caused by the caffeine of Kratos coffee.

Balancing studies and blogging is really difficult, especially when you're an architecture student. But it's not all about stress and plates, this little challenge of mine made me realize that there's definitely time for everything. The pictures are proofs of how life can give you challenges and awarding breaks as a college student, even when you think acads is the only thing taking over your time.

I hope you enjoyed it!
